Dear Jesus letters
Have you ever thought about what students would say in a letter to Jesus? Sometimes all you have to do is ask them. That’s what our students recently did as summer camp came to a close. They thanked Him for waking them up, their ability to walk, and getting them to camp at Mission First. Many thanked Him for sacrificing His life by dying on the cross to save us and filling "the gap that we made from sin." One student thanked Jesus for being with him through a bad doctor’s rep

He Knows My Name
Every week, Monday-Thursday, young men in grades 6-8 come to Peyton’s House. The boys receive one-on-one homework help, gain knowledge of world events, learn more about God and His Word, and are poured into by volunteers. This year’s theme is “He Knows My Name.” The students are learning about what that means. “Even if someone doesn’t call me by my real name, God knows it” said 8th grader, Quincy. Quincy is one of the oldest students. He has been attending Peyton’s House sinc

Taste and See That the Lord is Good
People have seen the campus of Mission First go through many changes over the years. During their week on campus, Bear Valley dove right in to whatever was asked. Each morning, t

Peyton's House Community Project
Recently, several of the Peyton's House students participated in a community project for the Mississippi Food Network. The students packed 100 boxes of food items that would be distributed to families in need throughout our state. We are thankful for this time our students had to be able to serve others in the metro-Jackson area. Students sort through canned goods to place in food boxes for families throughout Mississippi. Parkway Baptist WMU & "I Promise" Quilt

This group of women came to cut and preassemble items for a Mother's Day craft our students later completed. The students made a paper teacup and attached a teabag for their moms to enjoy - "Relax and have a cup of tea on me." Another craft the students did that week was their "I Promise" quilt. Each student wrote a promise next to their handprint which w
