

Slam Dunk & 3 Point Contest
The gym at Mission First recently served as the venue for the 3rd Annual Peyton's House Slam Dunk & 3 Point Contest. The students that participated had an atmosphere similar to an NBA contest. Christ Covenant School
Every year, middle school students from Christ Covenant School devote an entire school day to serving on a mission project. This year, a group of 7th graders came to Mission First to serve. While on our campus, Christ Covenant students did spring cleaning in our dorms, mowed our campus, detailed our school bus, cleaned out our storage room, and did some landscaping around campus. Sixth Annual Puttin', Poppin', & Rockin' Celebration
On May 1st, Mission First held its annual spring fundraiser. What started out as Neighborhood Christian Center's Pickin’ and Paddlin’ Outdoor Festival in 2006, has transformed into Mission First’s Puttin’, Poppin’, & Rockin’. Pickin’ and Paddlin’ Outdoor Festival was a fun event at Mayes Lake in LeFleur's Bluff State Park with canoe races, games and other activities for kids, a 5K run through the woods, and a barbeque lunch. Mission First Adds New Staff Attorney
In February, Sarah Mann joined the Mission First family as one of our staff attorneys. Prior to coming to our Legal Aid Office, Sarah became a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and also completed two externships. In the spring of 2016, she completed an externship for the Mississippi State Medical Association while in the spring of 2017 she completed one with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Philip Gunn. Field Day 2018
It's hard to believe the school year is already coming to a close. As a way to celebrate the end of a successful year, our elementary students participated in a field day over on our main campus. Students were able to go through an obstacle course as well as other athletic activities. Upon completion, they were able to claim a treat from the prize table. Candy is always a hit for students.
